2 biggest shots of the night

Actually, I really think the shot of the night might have been Fair's nearly-impossible shot with the clock running down out of the time out early in the 2nd half. Cincy had just gone up by 4 and it looked like it might be slipping away, and JB called the timeout - our boys didn't get the shot that was drawn up but CJ came up huge. And then KJ hit another really tough one next time down. To me, those may have been the 2 biggest shots.

Yes that was a big shot. He got the ball in the corner trapped with the shot clock running down and just buried the shot.

All of them.

We were great inside the arc, bad outside of it and downright ugly at the line.

That's why I think that 1st Scoop 3 was so big-it got us off the schneid from 3 and shooting is contagious (for good or bad).

Scoops layup the possession after Triche fouled Cincy up 2-4 points and the refs didn't blow the whistle and cincy got a monster slam.

That quieted the crowd Big Time.

There was a big tip-in by Kris that was huge too.

Cj's baseline jumper during that same time frame was huge as well...both teams were trading baskets for about a 3 min stretch, and it could have gotten away from us.

Sheesh... to me they ALL seemed HUGE! It seemed as though there was much more on the line tonight than just a W or an L. There were some big questions which were going to be answered about the real fiber of this team and for the most part they were answered in a positive fashion. As always, there seems to be some maddening things about this team that make you want to wing the control at the TV ( Seniors inability to make foul shots --- 6 in a row with the game still in flux) but I feel infinitely better tonight than I did this morning.

That, plus our defense really picked up after that three dropped. All of the sudden, we forced some turnovers, contested some shots, and got some run outs--all of which led to us FINALLY making a run.

It was almost like that three was the turning point.

As this team has done all year, they seemed to be able to answer offensive runs by the opposition with runs of their own. That is one of the reasons their record is what it is. They had a lot of big shots in this game.

The period down the stretch where we extended the lead from 2 to 11 was Awesome!
Triche, KJO, Scoop and Rak put this game away.

Triche worked hard to hit a three. Triche tipped a ball Rak got the outlet off to Triche who assited Kjo with a fast break basket.
KJo had another drive and score that opened up with Triche running around to get open on the same side as him. T hen Triche had that inside shot off the Rak pass.

Then Scoop put the icing on the cake with that big three to make it 11.
Just like that up 2 to up 11.

Rak and KJO got a few huge rebounds down the stretch. And I credit James for playing tough!!!

This was good team ball. We played together in the second half like Warriors and showed toughness down the stretch without Melo Dion or Fair. Our upperclassmen played their best collective game of the year and Rak has Onions!!
