My only quibbles:

1. I don't think you can *just* compare tempo-free stats. How many more possessions are we getting in 2017? If it's 2-3 more than  any year other than 2012 (we used some tempo then) than the ranking is deceiving (we're scoring more than the other years). For example, lets compare the two closest years in PPP:

69th in PPP on D, 28.5 points per game allowed, good for #73 nationally

68th in PPP on O, 31.3 points per game good for #52 nationally
57th in PPP on D, 24.3 points per game allowed, good for #56 nationally

2. You can make the case that last week [I][B]was[/B][/I] an offensive explosion given the competition (Clemson gave up more yards to us rushing, passing and in total - than everyone else they've played - including Louisville, Auburn, and VaTech). We were top 3 in O vs NC State, and top 2 vs LSU - and were very, very far from playing like we did on Friday night.

Now - I'd love to see it again this week vs another dominant defense. But don't miss out - this offense is trending up.
