It was a rough week on the field for private schools this past weekend as the number of schools receiving votes dropped from a record of 11 back to 6. Strangely, Tulsa lost its sole Legends poll vote even though they had a victory.
Stanford and USC remain as the only programs to be ranked in the Top-25 of any of the polls. TCU should join them next week after they round up the Wyoming Cowboys. The winner of Notre Dame at Wake Forest may make the jump as well.
Syracuse's disappointing appearance in Louisville dropped them to sixth place overall, thanks to a single vote in the Harris poll.
BCU finally found an FBS victim in Maryland. The win pulls them out of last place in the FBS rankings, being replaced by Tulane.
