Notre Dame remains at number 1 after winning at USC and will be playing in the BCS Championship game. The Harris Poll sees Notre Dame dropping to #2.  Syracuse's victory over Temple leaves them in a tie for 8th place with Tulsa.
 
All nine private schools receiving votes last week continue to receive votes this week. Syracuse gained some more votes in the Harris Poll, moving up to number 38 in that poll and retaining its 43rd place in the BCS standings.
 
14 of the 17 schools have qualified for a bowl slot, though Miami has declared itself ineligible.
 
Tulane and BCU finish the season tied for last place with final records of 2-10.
