2013 Under Armour All America Lacrosse Game tonight 8PM ESPNU

Future SU players in tonight's game Dylan Maltz, Jordan Evans, JT Forkin, Parker Ferrigan, Scott Firman, Nick Weston

Might have to give this a watch. Check out our incoming recruits.

First period action for Cuse, Dylan Maltz, litte bro of Derrick with a goal. No mention of Evans yet.

Saw second half of second quarter, North rarely had the ball thanks to faceoff skills of Kelly (UNC). He was dominant. A few nice passes from Maltz on break to Hopkins recruit. Ferrigan will be in cage for second half. Based on what I saw in few minutes he will see a lot of shots. Fun exhibition to wAtch.

Yeah south went on a run at the end of the half, like 5 straight goals. That Dimuke kid had a hat trick in like 3 minutes...

What a game. South wins in a shootout, 28-24, most goals ever combined in the eight years.

Some notes on our guys, and what I saw.
Firstly, Maltz had a couple goals I know of.
Evans, his 3 goals were all in the last 5 minutes of the game, as he was cutting to the crease and shooting.
Forkin, had 2 goals I know of. Lefty.
Ferrigan, On team North, was getting carved up by South.
Fireman, only heard his name called once, only heard that he is a LSM
Weston, never heard his name called.

Some other random notes...the faceoff guy for the South was pretty dominant, winning a lot of faceoffs.
#12 Zak Currier (sp) had an amazing behind the back running shot, and then the south team all got down and did a short celebration, rowing a boat...lol
MATT RAMBO! Going to Maryland. Kid lit it up with 8 goals. Those Maryland kids look good.
One of the Cannizarios from Caz(dont know if relation to the Henninger ones I knew), but he had a good game as well. Going to Maryland as well.
Penn State getting some good guys as well.

Entertaining game.

Not sure who was questioning Maryland and their young attack, but Matt Rambo is a special player. He was unreal. Really like Cannizzaro tonight, thought he was better than Rotanz and Heacock (yes Maryland had four attackmen in this game). As for the SU recruits, the guy I knew the least about impressed me the most. Really like Forkin's ability to go to the goal and finish. He had some nice goals. Fun game, reminded me of the old SU-UVa games.

I dont think anyone was questioning there attack, I think the general consensus was that Maryland was losing so much offense and counting on nearly all Freshemen to replace it does not normally end well over the course of a full season. Rambo and Cannizaro look dame good, but like every player D1 Lax is a whole new beast. I am not 100% sold on Rotanz but Rambo and Cannizaro are very promising for Maryland.

SUs Taylor 'Pop' had 4 goals and an assist in the woman's game.

Taylor Poplawski, Midfield, Christian Brothers Academy (N.Y.), Syracuse
Poplawski was certainly the fastest player on teh field with both end-to-end speed and quick lateral movements. She could change speed on a dime, often getting a pass at the top of the 12 meter arc and turning on the jets toward cage. She has an elusive stick and was able to throw in some great stick fakes on her shots. She finished with four goals on five shots and one assist.

Kelsey Youmell, Defense, Jordan Elbridge (N.Y.), Syracuse
A starter for the North team, Youmell hustled all over the field. She finished with two ground balls and a caused turnover on a trail check. Her efforts sparked a lot of transition opportunities for the North.

What did Weston do?? Was he injured? i never heard his name called and didn't see it in the write the OX posted?

Did anyone tape the game would really like a copy as they don't show over in the UK I'd really appreciate the help!

Rambo looks like an extraordinary scorer. He has more than enough zip on his shot, is very accurate, and has one of the quickest, and most deceptive, releases you will ever see.

I have UK ESPN 3 but the don't have the game listed its something to so with showing high school games outside the US!

Woody, you asked about Cole Willard on Laxpower. I don't post over there so I am responding here instead. I got to assume he will end up at Maryland if he is as good as advertised. His dad and uncle were both All-Americans at MD in the 80s and the family is tight with Cannizzaro family.

Thanks OOT, yeah heard his name at Nike Blue Chip and UA Underclass, they are producing some great kids at Caz! I liked the look of Powells cousin Ryan Cook (Haverford College '13/14) he has that flashy play like Mike!
