Diallo is a consensus top 10 player in the class at a Long Island NY school and a sure impact freshman big man who can really score and block shots. Don't understand why SU has not made a more serious effort with him. That said, he probably will go to one of the privileged blue bloods in the end.

It sounds like the recruitment around this guy is a circus. Plus, we're involved with bigs that are just as high on our board, so it sounds like the coaching staff passed. Doubt they would turn Diallo down if he really wanted to come here, but I think they set their sights elsewhere.

I'm actually hopeful we land two out of the three [Diagne / Bryant / Govan], so hopefully we avoid the situation you list above.

It wasn't for the lack of trying. Hard to land certain kids when you don't have tight relationships with their handlers. Look for UK to be trendy pick for him over the next few months.
