I don't know, they're spending an awful lot of money on guys that can be easily replaced.  They're spending $62m on Happ, Chapman, Britton, Gardner, and CC.  Outside of Mo, there isn't a closer or reliever in baseball that should be making more than $10m/year.  Billy Beane has that part figured out, bring in some failed starters make them a closer let them rack up some saves and then trade them.  On a per year basis, Happ is making only $6m less than Corbin is, and Happ is [S]garbage[/S] not pitching well at all.  The Yankees don't have a starter with a FIP under 4.2 in their rotation.  They're paying CC and Gardner a fair amount of money to basically be leaders in the clubhouse.  Spend money on stud starters, power-hitting infielders, catchers, and CFers.

They're getting great production from no-name guys like Tauchman, Maybin, Urshela and German.  That's why the injuries aren't hurting them.
