So we only have 1 of the top 16 players in the ACC and the ACC conference didn’t have any of the 15 finalists for the Naismith award.

We have some nice pieces on our team but we don’t have elite talent. Hope Benny Williams is an impact freshman.

Interesting that Caleb Love got no votes for Freshman of the Year but made the All Frosh team (ahead of Kadary).

Not to beat a dead horse and not saying Joe stinks or can't play or isn't ACC worthy - but if Kadary averaged 30 minutes a night in conference games he would have made it.
We had 2 players finish in the top 10 in assists and steals though.
Sucks for Kadary he deserved to be on all-Rookie team I may look up the minutes per game for the 5 who made it later.

Issue is JB’s gotta go out and get himself talent
I agree we got a stud coming in next year. Defense better not matter next year because Kadary’s defense has been off the hooks and it didn’t matter early this year.

I have no clue how good Benny is though. Never seen him play.

I think Brooks, from Carolina was pre-season player of the year and he didn’t make any of the top three teams.

Yeah feel like with proper PT Kadary would have been 1st team for ROY, DPOY and more consideration for 6th man
It’s a good thing he didn’t, or he’d be gone.

Was Duke's Jalen Johnson who left school early eligible for any of these votes I wonder?

Schools nominate players for consideration. Buddy wasn’t nominated.
Buddy played in every single conference game and wasn’t nominated for consideration on the all-conference teams but Kadary who played less than 14 MPg than Buddy was?

Maybe you can only nominate 2 or 3 guys per award?

Several teams have 3 players on the first thru honorable mention teams.

I looked it up teams can only nominate one player for per each individual award. For all conference teams there is no limit.
