Not thrilled about losing Hand.  It doesn't sound like It almost sounds like they are putting all their chips in on Trevor Bauer now.

But if they are willing to spend $30 million a season, why didn't they sign Springer?  It would seem that with the acquisitions of Carrasco and Lucchesi, there is a bigger need at CF than at starting pitcher.

I could understand all this if Bauer was willing to sign for a year.  Otherwise, it seems like the Wilpons have somehow gotten Sandy's ear.
