In a normal year I could see this being an option but with Scanlan's well publicized issues, SU would be hard pressed to bring in Nanticoke after getting dismissed form Albany, who isn't exactly known as being a bastion of discipline. I do think he would help the offense as there is room at attack and we could always move Seebold back to middie if necessary but I just don't see it. I will say that I think the coaching change has probably hindered SU in hitting the transfer portal so far. I am a bit suprised we haven't been more active to date as a few of these guys would have been really good additions. Guys like Lully and Khan were never realistic options but a guy like Murphy or even Trippi would have made sense. I do think that Gait is caught in between as he has a monster class coming in next summer and he probably wants to keep some spots open, on the other hand this current class doesn't have a lot of guys that jump out as day 1 guys (save for a couple) so the question becomes do you try and roll with what you have on the roster or make some strategic pickups. My hope is that a few of the young guys who were either hurt or didnt' get much PT because they weren't able to get a full off-season in and missed their Sr years, take that next step. I believe Birtwistle and the Furman transfer were going to push for PT before they got injured and clearly Berkman was not back yet at 100% after his ACL injury. Still I think we do need to bring in a few guys. Wgsr mentioned Will Rock and as a UVA fan he knows him first hand, I think that would be a great pick up for SU as Kennedy is almost assured of bumping back down. Not sure about a young attack guy like Mahar or someoen else as you have Hiltz already plus Spallina and Leo next year and Ferris and this years incoming attack recruits. To me a midfielder would make a lot of sense, not sure there is one out there though at this point. I guess maybe Drake? Wouldn't mind a certain Sr middie at Hobart transferring back home.
