Even an ECHL player that is making at least $50K, can probably get himself a decent apartment. Again not glamorous but not as tough as a golf minor leaguer. As for the $100 a year, is that what the PGA member fee costs? It's a nice life on the PGA tour if you can consistently stay in that top 125 -- they also apparently have a great pension which is based on cuts made and earnings which also benefits career journeyman.
