Even as a winger Dest will often be in a position where he is last man back… he needs to offer more resistance than tissue paper in those type of situations. That is all  about desire and he hasn’t shown it w the USMNT yet. I think Dest has the ability to be our most talented player but right now with the Nats he has a very cavalier attitude that makes him a detriment to the team. For the record McKennie also displayed the same attitude on the field the last 3 game set and Reyna seemed similarly disconnected.

One thought is when you have one player on a team playing poorly, it’s on that player but when you have three really talented players playing less than their talent level, there is probably a structural problem with the way the team is set up.
