The JMA Wireless Dome has implemented SafeTix™ to ensure that fans mobile tickets remain secure when attending Orange games this fall.

SafeTix™ became an additional feature for all events in the Spring of 2022. To fight fraud, Ticketmaster launched SafeTix™, which uses an encrypted barcode that automatically refreshes every 15 seconds so the barcode cannot be stolen and used by another fan.

The only change fans will notice with this new protocol is that screenshots of tickets will not be accepted on entry. Your mobile tickets will now show a unique barcode with a blue line running across it. This enhancement protects against tickets being screenshotted and tickets being sold multiple times by fraudulent resellers.

Fans should add their ticket to their mobile wallet from their MyCuse Account.

For iPhone users, you will not see a barcode if you are viewing your ticket in the Apple Wallet. iPhone's Apple wallet uses NFC technology which eliminates the need for a barcode all together. An NFC token is deployed when the ticket is added to your Apple Wallet, and you will tap your phone to the scanner to gain entry (NFC Technology is not supported on all Android devices. Most Android and non-iPhone smartphones will continue to show the new rotating barcode.

If you have any questions please contact the Dome Box Office at 1-888-DOMETIX or dometix.

Starting on Tuesday, Dec. 6, when the Syracuse University men’s basketball team hosts Oakland University, fans will no longer need cash to pay for parking at campus events. The University’s Parking and Transportation Services department has transitioned to a cashless payment model in all University-owned lots and garages.

Accepted forms of payment include all major credit cards, as well as Google Pay and Apple Pay. The transition follows the move to cashless payment options within the JMA Wireless Dome, which took place in the fall of 2021.

I suspect this means that the parking passes some basketball season ticket holders have for home games this season might be the last parking passes you ever get from Syracuse for athletic events. I sure hope so.
