My son who’s a teacher on the first day of class was taking attendance, assigning seats, trying to get to know the kids etc. Before taking attendance he looked over the names, wanting to make sure he would pronounce them correctly. He saw a child’s first name as “shithead”. He spelled the name and asked how it was pronounced. He said “shiteed”. My son was relieved that he wasn’t pronouncing it like it was spelled. Felt badly that some parent would even name their child, “shithead”.
