- Jacob Poeltl the Raptors center is a 54% career FT% shooter who has never hit a 3 point shot.  The coach puts him on the floor.    Questionable but maybe he can used to set a screen for a quick hit.
- To avoid the foul up 3 strategy, common sense is Raptors would need to run some sort of quick hit play for a 3 point shot before the Clips can foul.

[B]The Play[/B]
Play #1 - Raptors quickly inbound the ball directly to Poeltl 25 feet away from the basket.  No Raptor around him.   Instantly fouled as the Clippers have a foul to give.  A few second runs off the clock.

Play #2 - Raptors quickly inbound the ball again directly to Poeltl 25 feet away from the basket -- just like play #1 no Raptor around him.  Don't run any play for Poeltl as a screener, just give him the ball immediately above the 3 point line.   As a reminder this guy is a 54% FT Shooter who has never hit a 3 point shot in his life.  Clips defender fouls him instantly just like Play #1..  Poeltl, the 54% shooter, to the line down 3, 5 seconds to go.

Why are you running a play that will get your worst FT Shooter to the line when the other team is looking to foul up 3?
