80 points as a junior but "only" 59 as a senior. I think #83 is a bit low, but it's closer to the reality than what his ranking was last year with the 2026s. He's a 4 star player; he has some really great traits and can thrive in a great offense, but he's not going to carry a team the way you'd hope a 5 star guy could IMO. The only thing that's bizarre is the cognitive dissonance of the recruiters and some of the coaches. Time after time a kid reclasses and all of a sudden the media somehow thinks they've gone up a level, as if they won't be put right back in the wash when it evens out in college. I'm from Fairfield County, so I see it a good deal with the amount of prep school reclasses. One of the most notable examples I can remember is Wyatt Bowman (formerly a UNC lax recruit, now a Syracuse football player). He was a solid player in Darien's 2024 class -- saw a bit of time his sophomore year, but was probably Darien's 5th or 6th best player in that class alone. He was so off the radar that he wasn't even in IL's recruiting database. Then he reclassed at Georgetown Prep, and all of a sudden he was a top 20 player in the class of 2025. I watched him -- he was a good player, but he didn't drastically improve after reclassing. He was underrated when he was a 2024, but then overrated as a 2025, despite being the exact same player. It's all smoke and mirrors.
