Let's assume they make the playoffs and have to play on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

They have to come up with a sixth starter, or pitch someone with 4 days of rest.  The article I read suggested it might be better to do a bullpen game with Milwaukee on Saturday or Sunday (rather than against the Braves or in the playoffs).  Big decisions are going to need to be made.

It makes the games tonight and tomorrow really important.  They were already but the pressure really ramps up if they lose one or both of these.  Doing a bullpen game the day before a doubleheader seems like a really bad idea.  I think the play here is to pitch your best from the start and try to sweep the series against the Brewers.

Hold off on doing a bullpen game until the second game of the doubleheader against the Braves.  Hopefully it is not needed and the team can move on to the playoffs without completing draining the pitching staff.
