My perspective on this season is that 2024 was supposed to be a throw-away season as the Mets were gearing up for 2025 or 2026. It looked like the team was going through the motions early. But they came on strong and made something of the season. Maybe it will end in a few days anyway, as it did in 2022. Maybe this will be the Miracle Mets and we'll somehow win it all.
