Baseball is never, ever, ever going back to starters pitching complete games with any regularity.  If your fresh bullpen arms aren’t better than a starter north of 100 pitches - you built a terrible team and don’t deserve to win.  And even when you’ve built a great bullpen (like the Brewers) - weird things happen in the very small sample size of playoffs and your lights out closer will give up a game losing HR.  Like what happened to the Brewers this year, and to the As in 1988 when they were pitching the second best closer of all time.  And blowing a game happened to the best closer of all time in 2001.

PS - Was leaving Harvey in back in 2015 the right call?  Or is it closer to reality that we only know it wasn’t because he blew the lead, not fresh bullpen guys?
