Once Conforto was drafted, he became the guy to watch - lots of projections of success for him, with an upside of numerous All-Star game appearances.  The hopes for Nimmo were mostly that he someday make the roster…but it might only be as a bench player.  The trajectory of those two guy’s careers has been interesting to watch - Conforto’s injury seems to have completely derailed his career, while Nimmo has significantly outperformed the early projections.  Considering how Conforto’s career worked out, the Mets would be in a world of hurt if Nimmo didn’t keep steadily improving to be the player he is today.  He’s easily my favorite player on this team.
