non starter was my only thought, but none of these backups were on the depth chart. If they are I’ll list it.

Barnes wasn’t really a starter. Played in 5 games, started 2. Didn’t start game 1 vs Ohio. Started the next 2, got hurt and missed 3 games. Played but didn’t start the next 2, then didn’t play the last 4. The starters were Lewis and Kerr/Bellamy.

I agree Barnes is an important loss, but you can tell how giddy Fran is about Kerr and Bellamy.

So far the portal departures is a net positive for Syracuse. It opens up more spots on the roster for Fran to recruit. I could honestly see another 10 players exiting after the bowl game.

Last day of winter portal is Dec 28th, the day after the bowl game... if they don't enter by the 28th they'll have to wait for the spring portal in April

Somebody stated in another thread that there is a clause that they have a specific number of days after the bowl to declare. Maybe 3 or 5 I think?

If you are in the portal you can still play in the Bowl game.
I think it is 3 days after the bowl game but not 100% sure.

My understanding is if a teams post season takes it beyond the 28th then players have 5 days to enter the portal upon the completion of their season... SU's season however ends one day before the portal closes so I'm not sure if the 5 day rule applies to the Orange.
