I’m really looking forward to a potential Culver reunion. In 2019, they won the Prep National Title with a team that included seniors John Cohen, Sam English (who has 2 years of eligibility remaining), Alec Stathakis, & sophomore Owen Hiltz. They also won the Prep Title in 2017 with a team that included those 3 (no Hiltz) plus juniors Alex Simmons & Jake Stevens. All these players were likely recruited heavily by Pat March. National Titles tend to create lifelong bonds & these players seem to remain pretty close. Stathakis played the previous 3 years with Simmons at Denver. During the Pandemic in 2020, Cohen began The After TAPS Podcast on YouTube. This podcast still carries on at Culver to this day. Cohen only filmed two hour-long episodes but his guests included English & Stathakis.

I get the sense that Cohen is a really likeable guy & teammate. He’s been the “Team DJ” in charge of the locker room music the last 2 years & you can just tell by how hyped the entire team gets when he scores. Stevens & English also aren't strangers to Upstate NY, as each was committed to Cornell before flipping to Princeton.
