True statement here from someone I’m really close with and close to LSU, Brian Kelly was having an affair with a real estate agent. Big group of boosters found out. Part of the reason he’s getting fired and now they are trying to not pay him because of a “morality” clause built into his contract. Wild times

I read today that Kelly won’t take anything less than his full buyout. The AD is pretty much out of the negotiating process. The governor has taken over. The AD was also the same guy who gave Jimbo the huge buyout. $130 million for two of his hires to not coach.

Think they filed and then withdrew the petition.

It’s just that the Kelly having a girlfriend stuff has been circulating since 2023. He filed, withdrew, but they led separate lives.

LSU raised the money and will not use academic nor state funds. What you are saying is that LSU has higher ethics than Rutgers. Correct?

I think that is probably right but dirty laundry goes both ways and I don't think the LSU Athletic Department is pure here either.

Also there’s a time value of money benefit to getting more now. Doesn’t completely offset it but I’m sure it lessens the impact for Kelly.
