NBA Cup aside, there was a simplicity to the NBA a few decades ago that I found endearing. Teams had one white jersey that they wore at home, and a colored one that they wore on the road. There are some games where it takes me a few seconds to figure out what teams I'm looking at because the jerseys aren't intuitive.

Obviously there were trades and free agency but you didn't have big name stars like Durant, Harden, Paul George, etc. changing teams year after year after year.

I love watching old All Star games on NBA TV. In the 80s, it was like 75% of a real game in terms of effort. Whereas now it's like 25% of a real game. And they just announced the starting lineups, and then played the game. It wasn't this sensory overload shindig with Kevin Hart and concerts and smoke and dancers.

The players today are just insanely talented and would run circles around prior generations IMO, but I wish the league would stop trying so hard and just get back to basics in terms of entertainment.

I probably sound like an 80 year old right now, but oh well.
