I always forget what a D3 Lacrosse hot bed I live in. Gettysburg, Dickinson, and York all within an hour. Might have to start paying better attention to D3.

If you are in that South Central PA region you also have Franklin & Marshall and Stevenson nearby and Elizabethtown, though a notch below, usually is top 2 in its conference and plays a fairly strong schedule annually.

Assuming Cortland hangs on all NY teams will advance to the 3rd round. Not expecting SLU to beat Tufts but hoping they can make a game of it. Great season for the Saints especially after a slow start the first half of the year. Season changed as soon as former CBA stand out/Denver SSDM joined the team midway after taking a break from basketball.

RIT will host Cortland next week with RPI playing Dickinson at RIT in the 2nd game. Good turn around for Cortland under Rogers. Hit on some transfers and squeezed everything they could out of this year's senior class. A little luck with their draw as well but they still had to win the games. RIT has shown some vulnerabilities on defense (Cuse has their best defender after all) but now they have Salisbury out of the way until the final should they get that far.

Wasn't disappointed with SLU's performance against Tufts. Had it within 3 in the 4th, gave up 2 goals at the end with an empty net. Mahoney is really finding a recruiting stride post covid (not that it was ever an issue). As far as a high profile d1 connection SLU had a freshman contributor on the man down unit that will probably be a starting pole next year. The son of Virginia all time great and 1997 player of the year Doug Knight. Not a bad gene pool to be on your team for the next 3 years.

RIT (20-1) has won a bunch of close games this season, including a 12-10 victory over Cortland (19-2) earlier this season. Coon has a way of getting his guys to show up for big games. Rodgers making an impact sooner than later. This should be a great game.

Those players should be on d1 rosters. If some don't transfer up they're taking the easy way out (yes I know this is a dumb comment). I know it's unlikely they want to give up a Tufts degree but several of them would be able to get lots of playing time at high academic schools in d1 that are good programs, like UVA, Georgetown etc.
