Some disjointed thoughts… Agree the second base job is Acuna’s, probably for at least a decade. He can hit, his speed brings a new dimension to the team and he will win gold gloves playing 2B. Lindor has elevated his game to another level. I think he is going to finish in the top 2 or 3 in MVP voting again. Very complete player and probably the best clutch hitter on the team. Regarding Vientos and Baty, I hope both keep getting a lot of playing time and at bats. You want young guys who can hit for power in your lineup. It makes it easier to afford big buck players like Soto and Lindor. With Winker out for a couple months, both should get a lot of playing time. Looks like Alvarez has figured out how to hit again. Great to see him going the other way, no longer pull happy. Gotta stop over using Kranik and get Nunez straightened out. Good to see McLean dominate in his first start for Syracuse. Good to see Tong dominate again for Bingo. Tidwell and Sproat appear to be figuring things out at Syracuse as well. Really liked what I saw from lefty Felipe De La Cruz when he was called up to Syracuse and dominated Scranton. Throws 97 mph and has a nasty slider. He might be our next lefty reliever. Cabrera looks okay in that slot so far. Glad he has some big league experience. This is a fun team to watch. Props to Griffin Canning for dominating again. What an awesome pickup.
