I rewatched parts of last night‘s game today

Rewatchedthe ninth inning, in particular the bottom of the ninth inning which made me go outside for fresher air after having been fairly calm during the game.   Heck I stayed fairly calm, even when Hoffman gave up the game, dying home run only because I sort of expected Hoffman to screw up.

While re-watching the game, I thought back to the fact that there was five moments in the bottom of the ninth that I thought or anticipated that this was the moment that we were winning the World Series

Number one was that 3-0 fly ball that vlad.  It seemed really good off contact at the moment of contact

Number two was the moment varsho put the ball into play. It was a hard grinder and then seeing Rojas having to contort his body and sort of double pump to get the throw hom.

Number three was when they showed the replay  of Will Smith not touching home plate I was thinking we’re gonna win this game by video replay. Ultimately we did see that he got his toe down just  in time.

Number four was the moment of contact fir Ernie Clement’s long flyball. It seemed like it could go deep enough to be a homer or be a hit off the wall.

Number five was after realizing the ball would not be a home run when you see Kiki taking a struggling route to get to that fly ball … you then notice Pages come out of nowhere onto the screen and then you think hell they’re going to collide with each other and the ball is going to fall.
