I thought we had 9?
We do. Dwight Freeney was inducted last year.

Must have been an old graphic. And the HOF doesn't have him under Syracuse either. :(

Edit: maybe because Al Davis is counted under Syracuse, but he wasn't inducted as a player.

vs.

Pro Football Hall of Fame:
  • Jim Brown: (1971)
  • Larry Csonka:
  • Al Davis:
  • Marvin Harrison: (2016)
  • Floyd Little:
  • John Mackey:
  • Art Monk:
  • Jim Ringo:
  • Dwight Freeney: (2024)
Actually, the graphic was for NFL players.

“As the Pro Football Hall of Fame inducts the class of 2025 this week, here are the colleges that have produced the most HOF players all-time.”

That is the correct number, as Al Davis never played in the NFL, AFAIK. ;)

Miami has made a big jump the last few years.

Walt Sweeney deserves to be in as well. The case for his enshrinement should overwhelming, and all those whose feeling got hurt should be no longer voting…

Yes, a great player. But when I see his name mentioned I can't help but think of his roughing the holder penalty on what should have been the last play of the 1961 Notre Dame game that led to the referees INCORRECTLY giving ND another play to kick the supposedly game winning FG. Yes, a HOF play -- for ND. And NO I have not gotten over it almost 65 years later.

Is he still eligible? I guess the senior committee can put him in.
