Made it out to the scrimmage today. Treated to a second half SU olympico and some nice through balls on offense. No rosters and no announcements re players in or subs or goal scorers.
Because I did not see him on the pitch, a little interwebs research that Nick Kaloukian signed a pro contract and is playing in Armenia. Will
miss his parents at games

We had trouble scoring goals last year. Losing Nick doesn't help

Checked out the LeMoyne scrimmage today. Left with about 5 minutes left in the match. SU was up 2-0 and the post kept it from being 3-0. The Orange look to be trying to, and actually play faster and wider on the attack, and with some success. Had a number of good chances

LeMoyne had more opportunities than in the fall when they scored on an early penalty, parked the bus, and escaped with a 0-1 victory. That said, I do not recall any actual saves by the SU goalies.

The "starting" goalie for both scrimages is a big guy and loud; he is constantly yelling instructions to everyone on the pitch.

One downer, I think there were way more LeMoyne fans than SU fans.

New guy Brandon, I believe it was, scored on a left footed rocket.

Thx

We know a few games already. First game is at home against UConn. Then we have Penn State at home in late August. Stanford at home in September. Pitt and NC State away in October. Hopefully schedule comes out soon!

We're going to have the basketball schedule before the soccer schedule, aren't we?

I kid... I'm just trying to see when my work schedule will line up with being able to catch a home game, and it's making me anxious.
