As of Wednesday, you won’t be able to access the west lots from MLK or Renwick. It’s being shut down forever. On game days I would bet 25-30% of the vehicles getting to west lots from the bottom of the hill, come up the back way.

This fall, the only way in will be almond st, through an area under construction.  They don’t want traffic backed up  any worse than it already is - which is terrible now.

So they’re likely reducing passes in those lots to keep traffic manageable. I get it. So for a couple seasons, it’s going to be tough.  Hopefully in a couple of years, it’ll be back to business as usual, with easier access directly off business loop 81 and a new interchange at Colvin St.

OnTrack train isnt coming back. The trains are gone, the station is gone. The tracks near the bottom of the hill are literally being moved by NYSDOT during construction.

Shuttles from remote, privately owned lots (Destiny/Wegmans etc) won’t work for a variety of logistical reasons. and those entities are not enthused about the liability of tailgating.

Gone are the days of allowing street parking near the west lots too.

Once the decision was made to redo the dome, lots of these problems were locked in.  The university is bent on turning parking lots into buildings - probably better use of space for all but 6 days in the fall.
