For tailgate attendees, it may mean pounding your last parking lot beer a bit earlier, but for the core team that sets up and tears down tailgates it difficult to begin tear down process too early when late arrivals haven’t had full opportunity to take in the festivities.
And the days of heading from the tailgate to the Quad Walk then back for one more hot dog will be over.
Every year the decision to retrofit the Dome at its existing location rather than relocating as part of a new sports complex looks more and more shortsighted. And unless the University takes steps to embrace it, the tailgate culture that supports Orange football will begin to seriously decay.
