If it's "we're going to tear it apart and go with the kids and get out of these terrible contracts which won't age well" then be brave enough to say that. Stop this nonsense of "cohen's money gives us a huge advantage" and then do nothing with it (Soto being the exception obv). Right now it seems like the Mets have no plan... they are just floating along while their old core signs with other teams. Stearns doesn't seem to want to overpay for good talent whether it's through free agent dollars or prospects via trades. Cool.. then what exactly is the plan to beat the Braves and Phillies, much less the Dodgers and the Padres and the Cubs and all the other teams in the NL who are getting better?
