A majority of these QBs want to have a shot at playing it's why they are in the portal. Lauter is brought in to be an emergency QB 3/4 who can run scout team and in a repeat of last year at least give you someone who has some experience and can hopefully give you a fighting chance until Angeli or Odom are healthy again. The only way your getting another Odom like guy is if your offering major money (likely $500K+) for someone to be a 3rd stringer which even most of the power schools aren't doing and most QBs are going to pass on. Syracuse isn't Ohio State, were not gonna run 4 deep at QB. [/QUOTE]
