Have all offseason to discuss this (hopefully not for a while!), but what the heck. If everyone expected to return does so, I think you have a very solid starting six (Spallina, Leo, Rhoa, Thomson, Anderson, Deere). The question is where do guys play, as by the looks of it you have four attackmen and two midfielders. The easy thing to do is slide Thomson back to midfield and play the two lefties in Anderson and Deere at attack with Spallina. To me, I think they really need to bring in at least one more offensive transfer to give this team that extra boost. If Anderson moves to attack, that leaves a really underwhelming second midfield unit (sorry). SU needs difference makers on that second line. Perhaps freshmen like Bogue Hahn or Ted Rawson can boost things, but if you really want to capitalize on next years seniors, I think you have to bring in some outside help. Hard to thread the needles since if you bring a transfer in, they're probably expecting to start, and that leaves a player like Anderson or Deere playing a reserve role again. You have two openings with English and Hiltz graduating, so no one is getting technically supplanted, but there might be some hurt feelings. Also, I would just feel better having more dodgers on the team. If you stick with the above plan, you would "gain" Anderson as a dodger, but Thomson and Deere aren't guys who are going to take their guy to the rack. So you perhaps replace Hiltz with a projected better dodger in Anderson, but then you lose English as a dodger and replace him with Thomson who isn't going to draw a slide. And then Deere at attack also isn't going to be dodging a lot. That puts a lot of pressure on the four guys on the field who are good at dodging. Just something to consider.
