Of the top 100 players, 30 might make sense for cuse, the staff might like 15 of them, and then they’re competing with Penn State, OSU, etc for those 15.

Not to mention they may have their own evals and not actually like every 5 or 4 star for various reasons.

My only criticism of SU recruiting is that I would love to see them court a few of the bigger midfielders, like an Asaro, to pair with the skill that March brings in. These middies are valuable as they can either look like Hugh Kelleher and ignite an offense, or, if they don’t work out, can learn defense and be effective clearing the ball and in transition (Peter Dearth). The Gait / March era has gone away from recruiting this archetype.

Aside from that it appears that they’ve done a good job picking off the talent that makes sense for the program.
