Indirectly, they used Penn State as an example of a school with a large athletic money base to get recruits, and hence how they ended ranked in the top five this cycle.

In typical IL form they couldn't be critical for any length of time. They tried to have a "most disappointing" class and listed Maryland, Duke and UVA. Maryland it turns out isn't that dissapointing (pretty accurate, not sure why they were listed), Duke actually has a bunch of five stars but no offensive players (Duke brings in four 5-star offensive players in the '26 class, plus two more ranked recruits in the 2026 class, hence why defense might be more of a priority but they don't mention this).

All they say about UVA is, "INTERESTING". That's all they can muster.  I don't want them to slam opposing programs, but I would like some insight every once in a while. I know IL has to keep relationships, but some actual reporting might be helpful now and again.
