That's our league record going back to 2011... Has anyone else ever had a streak like this in the big east? This followed a period where we lost 6 out of 8 in 2011.

Correction, 28-1 it is. The first game was a 63 to 52 win where Jb went off in the presser after local reporters questioned him about not being able to beat Rick Pitino.

I'm a bit superstitious... and i believe you just shot us in the foot.

PS tweeted that it was a record before the win today at 27-1, previously held by UConn(35-2) who were never 27-1

Great thing is, any record we have now will never be broken.

It's 28-1. And it's a great achievement that is still on-going.

But the best Big East run ever was the 93-94, 94-95, 95-96 run when the Huskies went a combined 49-5.

Cheers,
Neil

As MARSH says...F-Uconn!

28-1

It's a start, but unfortunately, even if we finish 18-0 or 17-1 this year, that is the end of it and we'd be 47-7 or 46-8 in our last three years in the Big East. Still doesn't top 49-5. Now we could tie or beat the best 2 season record ever of 33-3, by finishing 16-2, 17-1 or 18-0, but we still have a ways to go on that one.

Cheers,
Neil

Apples and Oranges, if you think about it. While that streak is impressive, and I've looked at all three individual seasons from 1993 through 1996, there was no point where they had a stretch as good a winning percentage as these 29 games. I think that's the point, especially from a Cuse fan's perspective. ;)

I just want to keep the home winning streak in tact. Would have been a shame to lose it today.

Had my son and wife monitor the score the whole car ride home to get back to the second half. My son understands down by 6 pretty well by now. I told them (the TV) to clamp down on the shooter the last 5 minutes and watched Triche and MCW pull off another magic show. Sweated this one something fierce.
