UVA is exceptionally well coached and easily the most fundamentally sound team we play every season. They typically execute well throughout the entire game because of this, but especially during end of game situations when it matters most. They manage the clock, force teams into poor decisions and/or take away the other team's primary option, take advantage of mistakes, make FTs, and execute. This doesn't happen by accident. I'm sure that Bennett devotes a substantial amount of practice time every day coaching end of game situations. And, it doesn't really seem to matter who Bennett has on the court in-game or season after season.

On the other hand, I think that same methodical precision tends to "hurt" them on the offensive end. Admittedly, their sporadic inability to handle our full court press is mind boggling to me. In a weird way, I think this might have something to do with our press being so chaotic and fundamentally lacking that it presents unique challenges to well drilled teams. Meaning, what they think "should" be happening rotationally during the press isn't always the case.
