There have only been two 30 point games since Flynn left. Already this year Cooney has hit 27 and Fair 26. Although team scoring is not any higher, it looks like a couple of 30+ games may soon happen.

Surprised it's that few.

Off the top of my head, Wes against Gonzaga and South last year. Guess that's it for the list.

We've got a couple guys capable. It'll happen again this season.

Andy must have had 30 when he hit 9 3's but Jonny was here for that right? I know Devo ad Jonny had 30pt games.

James last year at Arkansas had to be one.
Did Wes really score 30 against Gonzaga in the NCAA's? I know it was a lot.

Looks like Rautins only managed 29 when he hit 9 threes: http://www.suathletics.com/documents/2009/4/17/2008-09 Game Summaries.pdf?id=3300. That'd be frustrating. Rick Jackson had one like that - 28 or 29 at Providence and then missed a layup with under a minute to play. Scoop was close against Detroit, Joseph must've been close in that overtime game against Georgetown. And I'm not sure if Triche ever topped the 27 he scored early in his freshman year when he went 6-6 from three.

Wes had a really efficient shooting game against Gonzaga. Maybe 31 or 32 in limited minutes? It got my hopes up for the next weekend.

You are correct I just looked it up Wes had 31 like 11-15 with 4 3's and 5 FT's. James had 35 @ Arkansas last year.

Ricks game against Prov was crazy, that as the game they hit double didget 3's on us in the first half and we still won. It was a crazy stat game for a lot of guys.

Triche was close again @ Lville last year right? He had like 20 a the half if I recall.

Joseph was very close in that Gtown game he had a lot of 3's.

For some reason I don't recall Scoop's big game against Detroit all that well.

I was surprised too. They are quite rare. Over the same period Triche and Joseph each came painfully close with 29 pt games, but that's it.

In fact, some of SU's biggest stars such as Derrick Coleman, Donte Green and Dion Waiters never had a 30+ game.

Oh, Triche probably had 29 that night at Seton Hall. Forgot about that. He had an excellent game against Louisville, but not 30.

Scoop had 27 or 28 against Detroit (or was it William & Mary) near the beginning of his junior year, when our offensive was really ugly. He did it on really efficient shooting and with maybe 6 or 7 assists; we only scored in the 60s and it was a one-man show.
