While I am no recruiting maven, it certainly looks like this class is going to be the best we have had in some time. We made it to a bowl and then beat MN with another exciting finish so I assume that we didn't do anything to hurt our chances with this class. We have a good story to sell and have a good chance to keep the momentum going.
Our verbals in addition to the obvious two talented QB's include a 6'6" WR in Jamel Custis (red zone anyone?), 6' 2" WR KJ Williams, DE Chris Slayton, LB Zaire Franklin and a host of other interesting promising recruits. We also have several others on the radar screen plus the last minute guys that surface every year.
These guys know how to recruit. Now let's hope they are as good as the former staff when it comes to assessing talent. Based on last year's frenetic last month class I suspect they do.
The first practice open to the public will probably be first week in April again.
It is a good time to be Orange!
