Through the air our last three games. Is this D1 level football?

Could you imagine if we didn't have a running game producing at such a high level (although today was sub-par).

Horrendous. Honestly the staff should consider starting Wilson or Kimble in two weeks and Funderburk, Cornelius and Lewis need to play, enough of Kobena and Clark.

That is what I am leaning towards also. Why not play Wilson or Kimble it can not get any worse at all. At least then next year you have multiple QB's with game experience. But it is clear to anyone that Hunt is not the long term answer at QB unless we are playing Wagner or Tulane every week

I wrote this in a previous post, but the coaches are in a really sticky situation. I don't want to overreact to one game, but if we end up with 3 or 4 wins, the coaches are not going to break in someone new and deal with another 4 win season while the new guy learns and gets his feet wet next year.

But the passing game has to improve. A competent coaching staff would never be this consistently bad.

Those numbers are brutal. I was going to stop drinking beer but now I need another.

Wow.. Can we put Broyld at QB and run the triple option? Maybe other teams will get scared and throw a 3-4 defense at us.
I miss the option offense, it's where we had our most success

Funny thing last year at a luncheon Marrone was asked about a Hunt as a future QB and he said, "He is on the scout team. You would have to ask another coach about him because all he does run a future opponents offense. He does not read defense, etc."

Sounded to me like Marrone was not impressed with Hunt at all and that's why he went after Zach Allen.

Let's hope AJ Long is the answer at QB and he can get here in January.

Honestly someone explain to me Charley Loebs situation?

He cannot be that bad.

The problem isn't really our QB. It's our stable of D-II talent at WR and poor pass protection. Ryan Nassib would have struggled with this bunch, and that's not an exaggeration.

You must have missed the spring game, he is that bad.
yeah I didn't watch it.

But the thing is...

that's one game.

Hunt and Allen have proven they are terrible multiple games.

Oh I agree our WR's are bad. But our two QB's that have played are just as bad.

So just because Loeb is on the football team he would be a better QB? I don't understand that at all. He clearly could be worse, which makes more sense than him being more successful than Hunt or Allen.

It's really scary that we can't even decide which awful Qb to play.

I'm sure Allen, Hunt, etc are great kids, but in terms of a D1 Qb, they just don't have it.

We really need to consider a 2 qb system at this point. Allen between the 30's and Hunt from GL-30 and 30-GL. Think about where each guy throws his picks. Allen doesn't offer the running option vs stacked d's and Hunt's 9 yard runs always get cancelled out on long drives by penalties and being put in obvious passing situations.

Or perhaps it is actually time for the Loebening to occur. There has to be a reason he took 2nd team reps last year while Hunt was running the scout team.

Watched Hunt in person and he is so indecisive. He had WRs open and would never pull the trigger. He always waits a tad too long to leave the pocket for a scramble because, again, he freezes.

The Loebening. Genius!

Struggled yes. But this is beyond struggling. The odds of a wb playing as bad as hunt three games in a row are off the charts in a bad way
