3d Lacrosse Names Regy Thorpe Chief Lacrosse Officer

The associate head coach of the Division I women’s lacrosse team at Syracuse University, Thorpe has served on the staff alongside head coach Gary Gait since 2010. He was promoted to associate head coach in 2015. Thorpe will remain on staff at Syracuse concurrent with his new role at 3d Lacrosse.

He was at the STX/3d Rising event in July which I thought was odd.

I was wondering when 3d was going to enter the Syracuse market. They added Buffalo and a crowded Rochester club scene already. Syracuse is ripe for a solid, strong club team. There have some a few that have jumped in, but none with a ton of staying power. I like the 3d concept of mixing box with field play, seems like that is the way the game is going. Happy for Reg, but still have concerns about the SU women's lax staff and their outside interests.
