3 point shooting has become more and more important in college bball.

I know its early but:

Team %: .446
Our 5 shooters %:
.394
.429
.462
.583
.500

We will face better defense but we will also mesh better offensively and benefit from having so many guys who can spread the defense. It looks like we have 5 legit 3pt shooters on this team right now. It really helps that all 4 guys you play at the guard spot can knock down open looks. Basically as long as Lydon is in or White is playing the 3 we have 3 guys on the court that have to be guarded from distance.

Courtesy bump. :)

Its the reason we are having such an easy time on offense this year. The best part is that these guys can do a lot of other things on offense as well.

It is going to be very difficult for opposing defenses to key on certain players, or to scheme to "take a player away" when we have 6 guys who can score 15+ any given night.

Especially when Lydon and Gillon can drill it for 10-15 feet off the line need be.

What's also doing wonders is that everyone is doing a nice job of finding teammates in position to score. Last night was yet another 20+ assist game for the team, and 8 of our 9 rotation guys picked up at least 1 assist. Coleman was the only one who didn't get one.

I would think that 3P % would not vary as much depending on the strength of opponent as much as field goal percentage would. Does anyone know if this is true?
