Briles first three years at Baylor.

At the end of year two they lost 7 of their final 8 games. In those 7 losses his offense only put up 63 points. There was actually a huge step back in offensive production from year 1 to year 2.

I'm actually a little surprised at some of the hand wringing. It's not that bad, but still a surprising amount. And as an aside, giving up 62 points isn't that big a deal anymore.

And Briles was a former high school coach, imagine what their fans were saying after year two. They probably thought they had Gerry Faust II.
