4.9 second 40?

Floyd Little, age 70, still runs a 4.9 40? Seriously? Somebody needs to get that on tape. If true, that's freaking amazing. I'm praying I'm still able to use pee-troughs and not going exclusively in my pants at 70.

Judging by the girth of the average American male these days, I doubt that many 19 year olds can come close to a 4.9 40.

little doesn't look much older than 50 but i don't buy that for a second. world record for the 100 meter for that age group would work out to a 5.1 40 and that's ignoring that the first 40 m are slower because of the start.

While I have no evidence to back it up just experience coaching and watching track and field, but I always have been told that the 100 isn't about who is the fastest it is about who slows down the slowest. Again this is from coaches I work with and know (personally I coach the shot and discus so my sprinting knowledge is limited). My point being I am not sure the first 40 is always slower because of the start.
