Yeah that’s the fallacy of bowl games. There will be a good number of teams that SU is better than that will get to bowls but since they’re in a crappy conference, they get their six + wins and their in. That says, you’ve gotta be bad to not get at least 6 wins/ year with three gimmes.

It's not looking promising as of today and if they don't beat FSU next week then I really don't see it happening. Also, if they are knocked out of the bowl contention by that final game of the year vs Wake Forest, the Dome will be empty for that game. You might see 20,000 for that Saturday after Thanksgiving game
