DMc was on the phone with his mother who was delighted about the call. She was the decision maker and told DMc geography was what it was all about and her son was going to play in his native VA. Vick and had no option but to listen to mom. Otherwise the transition to Vick, who was 22-2 for two years as a starter with VT, would have been seamless and it may have begun the great QB tradition at SU. Since DMc we haven’t had a quarterback who doesn’t look like he’s a deer in the headlights throwing on the run to anyone and encountering the inevitable interception, IMO. The two points: get the 44 in front of the right back and recruit another DMc. EASIER SAID THAN DONE, but until then we are not the prominent FB program we used to be and won’t be until these two points are addressed. The QB’s that won: D.
