I never said they should have been thought out be ME.  I have a job I get paid for, I really don't have the time to think about designing plays for Syracuse to run in goal line situations.  It just isn't a priority in my life yet.
 
I never said I could make the calls without error - I don't even have any plays to run to be honest (again, I don't get paid to do it).
 
I did say that those sequences should have been considered and well thought out beforehand by the people that are paid do so.  I don't really see why this is such a bothersome concept for you.  You think they should wing it more often?  Like, "it's 4th and 1 from the 2, we're down 2, hmmmmmmm, let's just try a hail mary" type winging it?  I think they consider down/distance/score situations a lot - I think they have plays/plans for those situations - or should.
 
Now if you're arguing about the 1,000 times, I just picked that number randomly - I just meant a lot - not literally 1,000 times.  
 
Is that helpful, at all?  As far as me second guessing a football coach, I'm on a forum, it's what I do for fun.
