Let's put all the doom and gloom aside for a minute. In case you haven't noticed, we currently have the 4th ranked team in the country. A pretty remarkable feat that doesn't happen too often. And although they might not be as juicy as the off-court storylines, this team has many storylines that have been, and will continue to be fun to watch unfold throughout the season. -The once immature Dion appears to be growing up in front of our eyes. He seems to have bought into the "team before self" philosophy. The question is: Is this change here for the long haul? -Speaking of growing up in front of our eyes, Scoop Jardine has become a leader for this team. Even though his minutes have taken a hit early in the season, his leadership and support for teammates has not faltered. -Fab. Hard to believe this is the same guy that so many labeled a bust last year. It is evident that he put the necessary work into improving his game in the off season. He has become a defensive presence in the middle of the zone and runs the floor amazingly well for a guy his size. However, can he keep it up when we hit BE play? -2 McDonalds all-American freshman. Not many teams in the country can say that. MCW will be a great floor general for us in the future, but just needs to shake off the "freshman jitters." Rak, as evident from his SC top play, is a freakish athlete that will one day make him a stud for the Orange. Now though, will he see enough court time to gain much valuable experience? -James Southerland, the x-factor. Against the likes of Colgate he plays like Michael Jordan, but against good competition he seems to disappear so much that you'd have better luck finding Bigfoot. Can he snap out of this? If so, look out. It will take this team to a whole 'nother level. Perhaps it would do us all a little good to focus on the positives that we have here with this special team. After all, they don't come around that often. We have a big game tomorrow against Top-10 Florida, in which, the preceding storylines will continue to unfold. Let's go Orange!
