Of course it's Jan 2nd this year.

The Gator Bowl selects 2 average teams who will guarantee a sellout, and likely pull in lots of causual viewers.

Not that it completely effects us anymore, but if they eliminate the tie ins between BCS bowls and conferences, I think this Gator Bowl is a sign that no BE team will ever compete in a major bowl again.

At the same time, it doesn't exactly bode well for us either...

ACC gets 2 teams into the BCS. You really cant make this stuff up. Stunned that anyone can defend how bad the post season is in college football.

Bowls are in business to make money. Those teams draw TV ratings and will bring fans (especially UF) and make money.

These bowls are meaningless games. Only 1 game matters, the rest are glorified exhibitions. I got no problem with it!
